The Way It Works




efore anyone can become a Friend of Mens Sana, he or she must first procure a copy of Harry Shapiro's Legacy or of You Must Not Them Con You! There’s Too Much at Stake. Both can be obtained by logging on to www.menssana.org/books and following the directions found therein. He or she must then (1) read the book (or books) and (2) conclude that its (their) contents, once absorbed by the reader, are capable, when applied, of helping that reader, to wit —

  1. In the case of Harry Shapiro's Legacy, helping the reader succeed in business. And it doesn't matter whether he or she wants to start a business, already has a business and wants it to be even more profitable, already has a business that's not doing well and wants to turn it around, holds a job and wants to become indispensable to his or her employer, or is out of work and looking for a job.

  2. In the case of You Must Not Them Con You! There’s Too Much at Stake, helping the reader free him- or herself from what Stuart Chase called “the tyranny of words.” Something that one does by learning how to differentiate between good, sound, reliable information and the linguistic garbage that inundates the world today. You see, given that we all base life’s decisions on information, being able to do so is crucial to everyone’s well being.

Now if the prospective Friend of Mens Sana doesn't reach either or both of those conclusions, then he or she should not become a Friend — he or she would just be wasting his or her time.

That said, following in general is the agreement, more or less, between the Mens Sana Foundation and a Friend of Mens Sana.

  1. The Friend will make his or her best effort to direct people to www.menssana.org/books or to www.harrysgenius.info. (Or to www.operationrecompense.org, which is a separate but related web site having to do with helping our servicemen and women by having copies of Harry Shapiro's Legacy sent to them.)

    He or she will do so for the purpose of having all visitors to those addresses — (including the Operation Recompense address) make a tax-deductible donation to the Mens Sana Foundation in return for a gift copy (or copies) of one or both of the books published by the Foundation, namely Harry Shapiro's Legacy and You Must Not Let Them Con You! There's Too Much at Stake.

  2. Whenever someone a Friend has directed to www.menssana.org/books or to www.harrysgenius.info (or to www.operationrecompense.org) proceeds to make the minimum specified tax-deductible donation to the Foundation for either book — or both — that Friend will receive $10 per book (to be paid monthly).

  3. The form that's filled in by a donor on the www.menssana.org/books and on the www.harrysgenius.info web sites (on the page entitled How to Get a Copy of the Book in Hardcover; on the Operation Recompense web site, it’s on the Out of the Goodness of Your Heart page, immediately after the credit card information page), has a statement — all in red — asking the donor to identify in the fields immediately following that paragraph the Friend of Mens Sana who was responsible for his or her decision to make the donation. Please know that that's the only way we can identify any such Friend. So it's in your best interest to make sure that anyone who you refer to any of the three web sites indentified above remembers to do just that.

    But there's more.

    If, after becoming a Friend, you recruit other Friends — by having them (1) procure at least one copy each of Harry Shapiro's Legacy or of You Must Not Them Con You! There’s Too Much at Stake and (2) register as Friends — every time anyone who you recruited is successful in (a) having someone visit any of the three web sites identified above and (b) make the appropriate specified minimum donation to the Mens Sana Foundation, he or she will receive $10 per book and you will receive $2 per book, both payable in cash monthly, without limit.

There’s Too Much at Stake, read it (them), and have concluded that its (their) contents, absorbed or not, applied or not, is not capable of helping the reader succeed in business on any level whatever (or free him- or herself from what Stuart Chase called “the tyranny of words”), then please close this page and do something else.

  3. And have gotten your gift copy of Harry Shapiro's Legacy or of You Must Not Them Con You!
